Opinel No. 10 Pruning Folding Knife - Stainless Steel

The Opinel Pruning No. 10 is an indispensable tool for gardeners, allowing them to harvest, cut small branches, and pick flowers or fruits with its curved blade. The Virobloc Safety ring, invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955, is fitted to all Opinel folding knives from size No6 to No12. This stainless steel component has a fixed and a sliding section, enabling the blade to be locked both open (for safety during use) and closed (for safety during transport).

The Pruning No. 10 Specifications include a 12C27 Sandvik stainless steel blade, a total open length of 20.3cm (8in), a closed/handle length of 10.3cm (4.75in), and a weight of 2.6oz. The handle is made of durable, easy-to-work beech wood from France, characterized by a light color ranging from yellow to pink and the presence of small, dark dashes.

The classic Opinel blade has adopted a Yatagan shape, inspired by a traditional Turkish saber, with a toe-up design. This exclusive convex profile ensures the strength of the blade and allows for efficient resharpening.

The 12C27 modified stainless steel used in the blade is anti-corrosive due to the addition of chrome, and its carbon content of at least 0.40% provides an excellent cutting edge. No special maintenance is required.
